  • How to I register? In order to register go to the first page and click on 'create new account'. The system will answer with a panel asking for a 'user name' (whatever you choose) and your valid e-mail address (note both the user name and the email address must be UNIQUE in the system!)

  • Who knows my password? Even the Webmaster only sees the names of the registered users and their e-mails but not their passwords.
  • Who assignes further priviledges? To get special status/priviledges please send an email to the webmaster requesting these. The webmaster will assign these permissions.
  • What further priviledges exist The IFSR website currently uses the following hierarchy ousers and their ppriviledges:
    • Users without registration: may only read certain pages
    • Registered user: may make comments on certain pages
    • VIP (very important person): may additionally add page contents of some pages
    • P-C-Member: (member of an IFSR Committee or Project) more read and write permissions
    • Board Member (representative of a member society) more read and write permissions
    • EC-Member : (member of the Executive Committee) more read and write permissions
    • Webmaster : full rights, including eliminating pages and deleting users etc.
VIPs, P-C-Members, Board Members and EC-Members receive increasingly more rights with respect to reading from and writing to pages. We are still experimenting with the details of permissions.
