Vienna Airport (VIE)-Downtown Vienna

CAT ("City Airport Train") is the direct train service between Vienna Airport and downtown Vienna.
It arrives at "Wien Mitte" ("City Air Terminal") . It leaves the Airport 5 minutes past the half and full hour and arrives 16 minutes later in Wien Mitte.

Downtown Vienna to Hoetzeldsdorf-Geras on 10 April, Saturday and 11, Sunday

Between City Air Terminal in Vienna and Vienna train stations, you can either take the tram or the U (underground) or taxi.
If you stay downtown then Franz Josef Bahnhof can be easily reached by tram line D which runs along the 'Ring' (the inner city circular streat around the center of Vienna) and goes directly to the Franz Josef Bahnhof

To reach Franz Josef Bahnhof from Wien Mitte is rather complicated, you have to change at least once or walk quite a distance. So I advise a taxi.

Taxi Fare.

If you take a taxi from Vienna to Geras or Pernegg, they will
charge you for a roundtrip fare, and it would be: Vienna - Pernegg will be in the order of 130 Euro,
Airport - Pernegg in the order of 180 Euro.

Downtown Vienna to Vienna Airport is about 30 minutes by taxi,
By CAT from Wien Mitte 16 minutes, trains leave every 8 minutes past the half and full hour.
Check-in of two hours in advance of the flight time is
recommended.
